i did go for spell power and crit on gears. i have %40 crit and 3431 spell power self buffed. My gems are all spell power. I acctually i need a little more haste for more decent damage

    * Explain the reason for your choice of talents, and how they benefit you in 25 man raiding ?

im using arcane on raids since %3 damage buff is great improvement and also use to play with fire. but my first choise is arcane allways beacuse when you are playing arcane its up to you if your mana is high enough u can dps better

    * What glyphs are you using and why?

using glyph of arcane blast, arcane missiles and molten armor; arcane missles and blast are my 2 top using skills and %20 increase for molten armor is pretty good imporvement
   
* What professions did you pick, and why?

tailoring and enchanting, best 2 proffesions for casters if you ask me, ring enchants and cloak enchant are amazing

i can come up to 3-4 raids every week

yes of course if my raiding group needs me to do something ill try to adjust that and i dont mind sitting out some raids

im playin a lot nowadays .i have a dk tank and druid pvp healer

Mage and dk tank atm. i was playing with my druid till fall of the lich king

    * What is your previous raiding experience (Vanilla/Outland/Northrend)?

well played with my druid like 5 years now. Never raided on classic . i did mostly pvp on level 60. i did raid on burning crusade a bit. but when warth of the lich king came i did raid a lot. i know almost every boss on warth of the lich king and know with my mage i ve icc 25man 11/12, iccman 10 11/12 and icc 10man hc 6/12

    * What groups have you been a member of ?

    * Why did you choose to leave them?

I didnt. they stoped doing 25 man raids and started 10 man hc runs. and im going with them

Beacuse i want to experiance the end game raiding and you guys are the best guild in earthen ring and i think i can catch up with you guys. and i have a friend on ur guild apekaas

Yes Apekaas we were raiding together once

I think i can be your handy man. I will allways be ready for raids and dont rise my voice if you dont have open slot for me on raids

yes a lot. first star wars galaxies, played like 2 years. then guild wars, age of conan and warhammer. i was playing wow all along

4megabit internet and pretty neat computer

im not raiding 25 man like 1 month and WoL is not showing 10 man performance i guess

All ways read mage note update and forums but i allways use my spec acording to my play style

Hi there crayn.
I have a few questions:

- You say you raid with arcane a lot, how would you consider arcane to perform on movement fights?

- You currently have 3/3 in frostbite, If you take one point out of that talent, where would you put it and why?

- For Arcane you have rather low haste rating, do you have any eyes set on gear that would give you more haste? What would those be?

- I raid with arcane alot and i like arcane but i can change my spec depending on the boss but atleast one mage needs to stay arcane i think for %3 damage buff. so maybe ill deal less dps but increasing the rest of the raid is pretty important i think.

- this spec is rather racklessly created by me, we were on deathbringer 10man hc and i didnt had slow so i changed my spec. i can use that talent on icy floes instead of frostbite for icy veins. Acctually i should do that

-yeah i know my haste is a bit low. Im tring to improve that. 1)Your arcane spec is quite bad in many ways, If i told you to pick up Magic Absorbtion, where would you take the points from ?
Please keep in mind that i don't care about your personal preference for a spec, you will need certain things, and there's no dodging the optimal spec for DPS. (Student of the mind for arcane )

2) Any particular reason you have gone for offset robe and not the crafted leggings ? (no doubt the leggings are the better choise)

3) What is the hit cap as Arcane ? Do you think you've made the correct talent choises with that gear ?

4) Your Haste is about half of what would be considered usefull. Please explain your statment as Haste should be the choise over crit. Listing items you can only get in raids isn't usefull, what would you do to improve the haste rating without me handing you gear ?

6) Howcome you socket for some bonuses and not others ? what is the socket bonus rule for arcane ?

7) If i tell you that patchnotes is nowhere enough information on mage issues, where will you turn for info ?

PS, You will need to go fire btw, as that a stronger spec in most heroic fights. How will your cope with your gear, spec and gems ?

1) yeah i know its not good atm and filled with flaws. beacuse i had to rush it for raid, we were on icc 10 hc... i would take it from student of the mind. Acctually i want to see how it ill effect my crit thats why i gave it. but its not effecting good enough.

2) i went for chest beacuse it gives haste and crit aswell. And get leggins for 4 set bonus. I ve enough money to craft leggings atm but not sure enough frost to buy chest. acctually regular drops shaped my itemasation.

3) its %11 if i have arcane focus and precision. %17 with no talent.mine is %13 atm.

4) well on haste i am a bid unlucky i couldnt get any haste loot on any raid for expample i m not happy with my nibelung but never got chance to change that and my trinket is healer trinket just got it for 179 spell power and want to change that also

5) using decursive and x pearl they both good for decursing.

6) im using all my gems spell power. just went socket bonus for meta gem to work thats all. i can change my gems al

7) im using tentonhammer for additional info. They have some pretty useful info

i did play with fire on raids same dps with my arcane spec. I can arrange any neccacery changes

Okay, let's assume the 3% damage buff from Arcane is covered elsewhere (which it will be).

Fire is best spec for a Mage at present in 25 man raiding.

Please revise your gear and spec for Fire, then post when it's done. You will also need to change your gems as just stacking 23 spell power is not optimal.

We're more interested to know if you know the mechanics behind your class - that's the very first step in being able to play it.

yeah think fire is better on raids anyway. i thought i know the mechanics for mage but doing heroics is something else. im a qucik learner, i can be ready in no time.

Right, assuming you have read up on the heroic versions of the ICC 25 man fight, since you're applying to a group doing only that.

Can you tell me how you are tracking the debuffs/buffs you get from Sindragosa/Putricide/Blood Queen etc etc ?

im not sure what do you mean by buffs/debuffs, for sindragosa's Unchained Magic and Mystic Buffet i use dmb mode. reffering to hc modes i ve never been icc 25m hc before so i dont use any addons for like bound Plague and etc. but i could get one if i had a chance to try. im guildless atm and doing hcs with pugs is kinda hard.
