Welcome.
Unity Path is among the oldest raid forces on Earthen Ring. Raiding since summer 2005, we have constantly been among the top groups on the realm.
If you are interested in applying, please check the
"How to Apply." thread and follow the instructions given there.
If you decide to apply please keep in mind that:
- We may contact you within a short period of time
- We do not necessarily reply to all applications
- Applying does not necessarily mean you will get accepted by Unity Path
Your Contact PersonYou can apply directly on the forum, but you can also contact one of the following Leaders:
Please contact one of the above and your application will be discussed internally. You can contact them via Private Message on this forum, as well as in-game.
Requirements- Enchants: ALL items that can be enchanted are expected to be enchanted. This includes Helm, Shoulders and Leggings armor patches/glyphs and of course a decent scope in the case of hunters. Leg patches are expected to be the high quality versions. You are expected to have the highest quality shoulder enchant.
- Gems: You will have the best quality gems in all gem slots as well as a proper meta gem if your helm has a meta socket.
- Gear: You will have an optimized "boss kit". Your gear kit should be mainly PvE items. The higher the better.
- Spec: You will have a pure, raid-optimised, PvE spec. This is class dependent of course.
- Voice Comms: We use ventrillo during raids to brief, coordinate, discuss. This is a requirement for everyone. Having a microphone is a bonus but you must be on vent and able to hear what is being said. We will not type instructions in the raid chat. If you can not hear for whatever reason you will be replaced for that raid.
- Attendance: Members are required to be available for at least 3 raids per week on average. Yes you may go on holiday for 10 days. No you can not spend 3 weeks attending 1 raid without a good reason. You will attend heavy wipe nights too. Wipe-aversive attitude is not encouraged.
- Communicate: We expect you to be easy to reach. We do not encourage people to log in 5 minutes before the raid invites and disappear after the raid ends. Let us know what your alts are, communicate with us. Read the forums. When we reach a boss you will have read the tactics thread. This is not optional.
Recruitment ProcessThere are four phases to someone joining Unity Path. These are, in order:
- Applicant: This starts when you apply. Discussion among UP officers takes place and a decision is made. We may or may not contact you depending on our current needs.
- Tryout: This phase lasts for 3 raids. During this phase you do not get loot entitlement. If you would like an item and no member needs the item that drops, then that item will be given to you.
- Recruit: This phase lasts for exactly 5 raids (no more, no less). During those you will have the right to roll on items , but you are still behind members in loot priority.
- Member: It's too late to regret!
During your "Tryout" stage you can not sign up for raids. However we will keep you posted and let you know for which raids you will be needed as early as possible, so you can prepare, repair, stock up on consumables. You can normally sign-up once you enter the "Recruit" stage.
During this process we expect you to remain unsaved for current raid instances.
Preparation - Joining RaidsWhen there is a raid planned, you are expected to be ready for invites.
"Ready" means you will be repaired, restocked, ungrouped and outside BGs/Instances. "Ready" also means that if you are about to join a new boss fight, you will have read up on tactics and be prepared. Do not expect a written briefing 30 seconds before the pull. You will not get one.
The <Unity Path> GuildBeing a member of the Unity Path guild is not optional, to ensure easy work for rotations we demand all raiders to be members of the guild too. Tryouts can be invited to the guild but will not benefit from the free repairs until they reach the recruit stage.
If you are interested in joining us, please post your application according to the template given in the aforementioned thread.
You will use the Unity Path template. Don't paste the same application you sent to some other group 10 minutes earlier.
If you have any other questions, we are happy to talk to you. Please contact us in game or via PM.
Best of luck with the application.
